Safety approach

Useful boundaries, plainly explained.

Kindred keeps children out of the account and messaging system. Adults use interest profiles, broad locations and mutual consent to explore introductions.

Collect less

No child accounts

Profiles exclude child names, photos, schools, dates of birth, diagnoses, precise addresses and public biographies.

Choose together

Mutual consent

An adult can accept or decline a request. Adult-to-adult messaging opens only after both sides accept.

Stay in control

Report and block

Controls remain available beside a conversation, with reports routed to an actionable moderator queue.

When arranging an introduction

Keep the first steps public and adult-led.

  • Use a public place and keep the responsible adults present.
  • Do not share children’s identifying details in chat.
  • Move slowly when behaviour or a request feels unusual.
  • Use block and report controls; contact emergency services for immediate danger.
